Potassium Sulphate /NPK 00-00-50
Rs. 160.00
Potassium sulphate fertiliser is often used to increase the production and quality of plants growing in soils deficient in this key component. Potassium sulphate was traditionally produced by reacting KCl with sulfuric acid. Researchers eventually found, however, that they could control several earth minerals to generate potassium sulphate, which is currently the most prevalent technique of manufacture.
Molecular Formulae- K2SO4
Alternative Names- Sulphate of potash (SOP), Arcanite
ADVANTAGES AND USES-
- Many critical tasks in plants require potassium sulphate, such as stimulating enzyme reactions, building proteins, producing starch and sugars, and controlling water movement in cells and leaves.
- It deters pests such as slugs and voles.
- It helps in the correction and prevention of potassium and sulphur shortages, stunted development, and yield reduction.
- It is simple to administer at planting or during the growing season.
- Potassium sulphate can be easily combined with other fertilisers.
HOW IT WORKS-
- It works by providing crops with essential nutrients like potassium and sulphur.
- Potassium and sulphur are necessary for the synthesis of enzymes, building proteins, and producing starch and sugars.
TIME OF APPLICATION-
- It can be used all throughout the year.
- Apply it atleast once a month.
RECOMMENDED USAGE-
- For spraying, the recommended usage is 1 to 3% weight by volume.
- For solid application, use 5 to 10 kg/acre.
HOW TO USE-
- Add potassium sulphate to a sprayer or mixing tank filled with fresh water at the recommended usage.
- Spray it on the crops once a month.
