Minoxidil

Minoxidil is used to treat hair loss, including conditions like androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness). 

1. Application Areas:

   • For the scalp: Minoxidil is commonly applied to the scalp where thinning or hair loss is occurring.
   • It’s also used on other areas where hair regrowth is desired, but scalp application is the most common.

2. Formulations:

   • Liquid: Typically comes in 2% or 5% solutions.
   • Foam: Usually available in a 5% formulation.
