EDTA calcium fertilisers are essential for plant physiological and biochemical processes. Cell walls are made up of calcium, which is a structural component. A calcium shortage affects plant mechanical strength and resilience to pests and diseases, particularly in the post-harvest period.
Molecular Formulae- C10H14CaN2Na2O8+2
Alternative Names- Calcium Disodium EDTA
ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS-
EDTA Calcium quickly corrects calcium deficiency and treats the physiological diseases it causes, such as bitter pit, glassiness, and blossom-end rot.
It promotes the hardness and consistent ripening of fruits, vegetables, and tubers, as well as their storage capacity and durability during travel.
When the use of nitrogenous or chloride calcium fertilisers must be avoided, EDTA calcium is highly suggested.
It can be used for mangoes, cashews, grammes, peas, beans, paddy, wheat, soy, cotton, sunflower, peppermint, and so forth.
HOW IT WORKS-
It works to improve nutrient absorption efficiency by reducing losses owing to leaching and volatilization.
It acts as a facilitator in the respiration process of plants.
TIME OF APPLICATION-
It can be used throughout the year.
It should be used at least once a month.
RECOMMENDED USAGE-
Combine 500g with 10 kg of soil and apply it evenly over one acre.
For foliar application, we recommend a dose of 100gm in 150-200 litres of water for 1 acre.
