Ceramide Complex PE-F
Ceramide Complex CLR™ PE-F supplies skin with structural elements and supports the recovery and maintenance of the skin’s healthy barrier function and water-holding capacity. It contains phytolipids in lamellar, liquid crystalline form. The plant- derived lipid mixture consists of phospholipids and sphingolipids. It is easily able to penetrate skin and also moisturizes hair. The plant-derived lipid mixture consists of phospholipids and sphingolipids (ceramides, glycoceramides = cerebrosides).
How it Works Ceramide Complex CLR™ PE-F restores the lipid barrier of the SC of dry and fissured skin and provide a well-balanced moisture content. An epidermis that is intact also at the outermost boundary is crucial for a well functioning physiological interaction between the individual skin layers. Ceramide Complex CLR™ PE-F can be used in aqueous and emulsified skin care preparations, especially gels.

Ceramides (CERs) are a structurally heterogeneous class of complex sphingolipids. Further, they consist of derivatives with phytosphingosine or sphingosine. Moreover, it is as a base bound to different fatty acids by an amide linkage.
There are 12 Types of Ceramides named Ceramide 1 to 12.but the three most common are ceramide 1, ceramide 3, and ceramide 6-II.
Ceramide 1/Ceramide EOS/
Ceramide 3/Ceramide NP /N-Oleoyl-phytosphingosine
Ceramide 6-II/Ceramide AP/N-Acylated Sphingolipids
