Swimming Pool Algaecide – 10% ADBAC Quaternary Ammonium Formula
ASES Algaecide for Swimming Pool is a fast-acting, industrial-grade algaecide built on a 10% Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (ADBAC) base — the same active class used in most commercial pool algae treatments. It clears green, cloudy pool water, knocks out existing algae blooms, and helps prevent regrowth when used as part of a regular maintenance routine.
Formulation Highlights
- Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (ADBAC) – 10.0% w/w: primary active quaternary ammonium algaecide
- EDTA (0.1–0.5%): chelating agent that binds hard-water minerals so the active works consistently across different water conditions
- Corrosion inhibitor (0.1–0.3%): helps protect pumps, fittings, and metal pool equipment from long-term corrosion
- Deionized water carrier for a stable, ready-to-dose liquid concentrate
Dosage & Usage Guide
Routine / Preventive Dosing
- 200 ml per 20,000 litres of pool water
- 750 ml per 1,00,000 litres (1 lakh litres) of pool water
- Dose every 3 days for regular algae prevention
Heavy Algae / Green Water Treatment
- Increase to 1.5x–2x the normal dose for the first treatment
- Brush pool walls and floor before dosing to loosen algae
- Run filtration continuously for 8–12 hours after dosing
Expect algae to start weakening within 4–8 hours, green tint and slippery walls to noticeably improve within 12–24 hours, and dead algae to settle or filter out within 24–48 hours for clear, safe water.
For best results: dose in the evening, keep the pump running to maintain circulation, and pair with correct chlorine levels (TCCA 90 or calcium hypochlorite) and pH balance (7.2–7.6).
Store away from direct sunlight, keep out of reach of children, and avoid mixing directly with other pool chemicals.
