Trichloroisocyanuric acid is used mainly to treat water, and is often used in swimming pools or as a bleaching agent for textiles.
Used as disinfecting agent in swimming pool, Trichloroisocyanuric acid and chemical is ideal for achieving sparkling clean and clear water. The trichloroisocyanuric acid granules 90% is available with chlorine and has no side-effect on hair, eyes or skin. This chemical provides lasting effects in keeping your swimming pools free from algae and bacteria. Perfect for water treatment it is used in algae elimination and dis-infection of circulating water.
In its ideal quantity, TCCA should only be present in 1-3 parts per million (ppm) in the pool.
Parameters:
pH level to be maintained between 7.2-7.6
Balance the total Alkalinity between 60-120 parts per million (ppm)
Maintain pool calcium Hardness above 200 ppm.
Dosing:
REGULAR CHLORINATION PROCEDURE:
Every 7th day of the cycle, At the end of the swimming pool season or when water is to be drained from the pool, chlorine must be allowed to dissipate from treated pool water before discharge. Do not chlorinate the pool within 24 hours prior to discharge. For optimal product performance, swimmer's comfort and crystal clean water, adjust the pool parameters as follows:
Always balance and maintain the pH level of the water between 7.2-7.6.
Use a chlorine test kit to check the level of available residual chlorine in the water.
Add 300-350 grams per 1,00,000 litre of water. This will yield 3-5 ppm of available residual chlorine by weight in the pool.
SUPER CHLORINATION/ SHOCK TREATMENT AND NEW POOL START: Ideally super chlorination/shock treatment is conducted every 7 days.
Add 550-1100 grams per 1,00,000 litre of water in the pool. This will yield 5-10 ppm of available residual chlorine by weight in the pool.
Supplemental super chlorination treatments are recommended when there is visible algae, excessive swimmers, rainstorms, heavy wind or bad odor.Do not enter the pool with 4 ppm or above of available residual chlorine, it can be harmful for the body.
