Nickel Oxide Black
Rs. 3,000.00
Nickel Oxide Black is an inorganic metal oxide with ceramic, glass, and specialist niche applications such as catalyst and fuel cell manufacture. It is a helpful colorant as well as a color-influencing substance. It is frequently used to create the hues of grey, blue, and yellow. Aside from its ability to change colors, this substance is also used to make ceramic and glass frits and ferrites.
Molecular Formulae- Ni2O3
Alternative Names- Nickelic Oxide, Nickel sesquioxide, Nickel (III) oxide
Country of Origin- India
BENEFITS AND APPLICATION-
- As an electrolyte in nickel plating solutions, as an oxygen donor in auto emission catalysts, it generates nickel molybdate, anodizes aluminum, makes conductive nickel-zinc ferrites, and is used in glass frit for porcelain enamel, thermistors, varistors, cermet, and resistance heating elements.
- Nickel oxide black is used in some ceramic applications and as a precursor to catalysts.
- It is a popular component in both low-fire and high-fire ceramic glazes.
- It accelerates the setting of cement, making it ideal for tile adhesives.
- Nickel oxide black is a corrosion-resistant metal that is used to protect other metals. It is, however, mostly employed in the production of alloys such as stainless steel.
- Nickel oxide black is a catalyst used in the hydrogenation of vegetable oils. When nickel is added to glass, it turns green.
