BENEFITS AND APPLICATION-
- The principal use of magnesium carbonate is the calcination of magnesium oxide.
- Refractory bricks are made from heavy magnesium carbonate and dolomite.
- It is also found in flooring, fireproofing, fire extinguishing compounds, cosmetics, dusting powder, and toothpaste.
- Filler material, smoke suppressor in plastics, a strengthening agent in neoprene latex, a drying agent, a laxative to soften the intestines, and color retention in meals are some of the other applications.
